ChatDuel Privacy Policy

ChatDuel does not provide AI services, does not require API keys, and does not upload your chat content to ChatDuel servers.

1. What we do not collect

ChatDuel servers do not collect, store, or analyze your questions, prompts, attachment content, AI responses, account information, cookies, tokens, sessions, exact page URLs, official conversation links, browsing history, or directly identifying personal information.

2. What the extension stores locally

To provide history, copy, export, summary, forwarding, and official-session recovery features, ChatDuel stores some usage data in your own browser local storage.

This may include questions sent through ChatDuel, attachment metadata, AI response text captured by the extension, local history, statistics, user settings, official page conversation links, and cached remote selector configuration.

This content stays in your browser for your own review and continued use. ChatDuel does not upload local history to ChatDuel servers.

3. Local diagnostic records

To help troubleshoot sending, official-site acknowledgement, and response-reading failures, ChatDuel stores a small technical diagnostic log locally in the browser by default. It may include the extension version, platform name, processing stage, outcome, stable error code, timestamps, elapsed time, retry counts, and random diagnostic identifiers.

Diagnostic records never include prompt or response text, attachment names or contents, page URLs, official conversation links, account details, cookies, tokens, or other credentials. They are never uploaded automatically to ChatDuel servers or any third party.

The log retains at most 20 send batches, 100 platform runs, 1,000 events, seven days of history, and 1 MB of serialized data. Older records are removed as complete send batches when a limit is reached.

In Settings → Diagnostics, you can disable new records, preview them before export, copy or download them, and clear them at any time. Records leave your device only when you explicitly copy, download, or send them.

4. Interaction with official AI platforms

ChatDuel helps you input, send, and read answers inside official AI web pages where you are already logged in. Content you actively send to third-party AI platforms is handled under those platforms' own privacy policies and terms.

ChatDuel does not control how those third-party platforms process data. When using them, you should also review and follow their privacy policies and user agreements.

5. Configuration endpoint

To repair page selectors quickly when official web page structures change, ChatDuel requests https://chatduel.ifeeling.app/api/extension/config.

This endpoint only returns selector configuration required by the extension. It does not return ads, script code, or user content. To troubleshoot service availability and version compatibility, the configuration server records minimal technical logs, including request time, masked IP, User-Agent, extension version, configuration version, and HTTP status code.

6. Permission usage

ChatDuel browser permissions are used only for core extension features, including saving local history and settings, detecting official web page state, injecting necessary content scripts into official pages you have opened, refreshing remote selector configuration when needed, and exporting your local records.

7. Data sharing

ChatDuel does not sell user data and does not share user chat content with advertising networks, data brokers, or other third parties.

Content you actively send to third-party AI platforms is not collected or shared by ChatDuel servers; it is processed by the relevant third-party platform.
